The XTX-945 supports the Intel Socket 478 based Core 2 Duo and Celeron M processors, up to 2 x 1.5 GHz with 4 MByte shared L2 cache, making the XTX-945 more of most powerful COMs in the Blue Chip range. It has one 200-pin DDR II 400/533/667 SODIMM to support system memory up to 2GB and offers all the usual XTX features including four PCI-Expresskx1l, four 32-bit PCI, one LPC bus, one SMBus and one I2C interface.
The integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 features the latest 3D, 2D video capabilities and up a 224 MByte frame buffer using Dynamic Video Memory Technology (DVMT). The XTX-945 supports CRT, one SDVO port and 24-bit dual-channel LVDS LCD. NTSC/ PAL/ HDTV and Composite Video, S-Video can also be implemented on the carrier board.
XTX™ is an expansion and continuation of the ETX® standard, the difference being the X2 connector is no longer reserved for the ISA bus but instead features new serial high speed buses like PCI Express™ and Serial ATA®. All other signals found on connectors X1, X3, and X4, the board size, mounting etc are exactly the same as the ETX® specification. This means existing ETX® solutions can easily switch to the XTX™ platform without any mechanical change allowing the customer to expand their applications into PCI Express™ and Serial ATA.
