The latest addition to Blue Chip Technology’s ICON family of high performance 19" Rack Mount PCs is a versatile 2U 4 slot chassis specifically designed for internet, telecomms and other applications where rack space is at a premium. This next generation low profile platform combines Blue Chip Technology’s highly integrated Single Board Computers with a superb set of system features that are designed to offer the functionality and scalability required by today’s fast moving high growth industries. PICMG or PISA passive backplanes can be combined with Pentium® or Pentium® II/III slot CPU cards, with options for on-board SCSI, Ethernet and Video functions in order to maximise slot availability. A removable card assembly provides for easy and convenient installation of expansion cards.
Also available as a benchtop system, the highly serviceable ICON 2U chassis has a unique stainless steel finish and offers excellent durability. It is only 440mm deep and therefore fits comfortably into a 600 mm industry standard 19" rack. The ICON offers IP54 front panel protection and has a fully lockable drive bay door, which also provides access to a keyboard connector, power on/off switch and a reset switch. A shock mounted drive cage supports up to one 5.25" and three 3.5" storage devices. The chassis has two 60mm 12V DC fans drawing air through the front panel filters, which are easily accessed for cleaning or replacing.
