Blue Chip Technology’s HAWK is a Pentium based highly integrated multimedia single board computer that combines video, audio and network functions on a board the size of a 5.25'' floppy drive. HAWK is based on the Intel Triton II 430HX Chipset and supports Pentium® processors (Intel and AMD) to 233MHz MMX. The memory consists of up to 256MB of DRAM, 256KB or 512KB L2 Cache (COAST), up to 512KB SRAM and Flash options from 2MB to 72MB via DiskOnChip.

The HAWK single board PC is provided with a C&T 65545 graphics controller which has 1MB of Video memory and supports both CRT and a wide variety of LCD displays. Panel resolutions of 800 x 600, 1024 x 768 and 1280 x 1024 are supported. An NE2000 compatible 10Base-T Ethernet controller is present on-board with an RJ45 connector for ease of interfacing. The ESS186x controller provides stereo Soundblastercompatibility with both line and speaker outputs.

For expansion, HAWK has a single ISA slot which is designed to take an ISA card or a 2 slot ISA riser card. A PC/104 interface is also provided. HAWK supports dual EIDE devices (HDD and CD-ROM drives), dual floppy disk drives, dual USB ports, 4 powered Serial ports (one port selectable as RS232/485) and one SPP/EPP/ECP bi-directional Parallel port. A unique feature of HAWK is the stacked D-type and PS/2 connectors, designed to simplify integration into chassis and enclosures, thereby reducing costs.
