The Cadet is an off the shelf, motherboard system built with the longevity, scalability and reliability of a ruggardized, industrial grade solution. Ideal for space constrained applications, the Cadet has a compact form factor and an attractive price tag. Designed to operate 24/7, the chassis has three divisional cooling compartments and an operating temperature of 5°C to 40°C. Constructed from plated steel with an anti shock hard drive, the Cadet is an excellent choice for mobile environments subject to shock and vibration. The unit is light enough to be wall mounted, Blue Chip Technology also provide a rack mount conversion kit. Controls are all located on the front panel for ease of access.

Configured with Pentium ® 4 or Celeron ® processors, the Cadet supports up to 2GB of ultra fast DDR SDRAM. Operating system and application storage can be supported by either an ATA 100 hard drive, in a variety of sizes, or in truly harsh environments - flash drives. Where removable media is required, optional slimline CD, CD RW, DVD or floppy drives can be fitted. With superior graphics capabilities, the Cadet can handle hi- end imaging applications, CRT, DVI or S-Video outputs and multiple screen resolutions. Fully power managed, the chassis includes CPU and system watchdogs and optional default power up modes. Where your project needs something a little different or just future proofing for the unexpected wireless, PCMCIA etc all can be supported by plugging a card into the internal PCI 2.2 slot. The Cadet also includes USB and AGP expansion.
