The COM-45SP supports Intel® Core 2 Duo/ Celeron® M (Socket-P) processors built on a 45nm process with up to 6MB CPU cache, a FSB of 1067 MHz and up to 8GB DDR3 in a dual channel configuration by way of two 204-pin SODIMM sockets. With Gigabit Ethernet for a high bandwidth network connection and eight USB2.0 ports, the COM-45SP offers the connectivity required by demanding applications. The COM-45SP offers x16 PCI Express lanes through the GMCH (graphics, memory controller hub) which can be used for graphics or can be configured as PCI-Expressx1/x2/x4/x8. Five additional PCI Expressx1 lanes are available from the ICH9M (I/O controller hub) in addition to four 32-bit PCI lanes, LPC bus, SMBus and I2C. To make this module as versatile as possible it has been designed to operate from a wide DC input range of 8.5V to 19V.
The Intel® GM45 offers Intel’s 5th generation of integrated graphics with hardware decode for MPEG2 supporting WMV9 (VC1) and H.264 (AVC). The COM-45SP offers CRT/LCD, CRT/TV, CRT/DVI, LCD/TV, LCD/DVI, all in simultaneous or dual view configurations. The x16 PCI Express can be configured to support two SDVOs, two HDMI ports, two DVI ports or three DisplayPort interfaces. The COM-45SP features a high definition audio interface to meet the needs of various market segments such as: Digital signage, gaming & entertainment, security, defense & government, retail & advertising and multimedia.
