Blue Chip Technology teamed up to crew it’s own boat in the Chester Charity Dragon Boat Race on 12th June. This annual event takes place on the famous River Dee, where twenty plus teams battle it out for pole position. As the day unfolded, under grey skies, two rival teams capsized into the Dee’s chilly waters. Blue Chip went on to gain a respectable position in the top half score board – not bad for a first effort.
More importantly, the team raised £500 for their chosen charity – The Anthony Nolan Trust. The Anthony Nolan Trust Bone Marrow Register provides lifesaving donors for patients in need of a bone marrow transplant and has helped give a chance of life to over 4,000 people since 1974.
