« back to news

Blue Chip will be introducing Seagate's Pipeline HD™ second generation DVR drive across its industrial computer and Vario digital signage range. Pipeline HD™ is capable of simultaneously supporting 10 or more High Definition streams of content and features 'noiseless' operation. It's green too – both the Pipeline HD.2 and Pipeline HD Mini hard drives are made up of 50% recycled materials with 75% of the materials being recyclable. These drives also contribute to sustainable energy initiatives by achieving a 52% improvement in power savings over previous generations.

Consumer demand for HDTV is driving significant growth for the DVR market, 2009 shipments are expected to top 32 million units.  Industrial customers can benefit from the lower-power performance and whisper quiet acoustics without sacrificing capacity for content hungry applications.
