Partnership for embedded HMI solutions

Blue Chip Technology is partnering with Plus Opto to offer an innovative package of embedded human machine interface (HMI) engines. The bringing together of Plus Opto's range of TFT LCD displays and Blue Chip's embedded boards will provide OEMs with a complete and easy solution for display based applications.

Blue Chip Technology and Plus Opto currently have their RE1 range of RISC boards and displays in product launch stage. Full production is scheduled for Q2 2009.

At 8.4" the Alpha 8LXLP is our smallest fanless touchscreen HMI. Featuring a low power 500MHz CPU and all the I/O you would expect from a larger product, including 2 x LAN, 3 x COM ports, 2 x USB2.0 and wireless LAN as a factory fit option.

Available with either 2.5" HDD or flash options, we can configure the device to suit your application perfectly.

Blue Chip will be introducing Seagate's Pipeline HD™ second generation DVR drive across its industrial computer and Vario digital signage range.

Pipeline HD™ is capable of simultaneously supporting 10 or more High Definition streams of content and features 'noiseless' operation.
